Gp. Capt. AK Sachdev (Retd)

Gp. Capt. AK Sachdev (Retd) served as an officer of the Indian Air Force from 1975-2005. He commanded Air Force Station, Udhampur and was Commodore Commandant of a Helicopter Unit. After retirement has worked in civil aviation. He has been COO of an airline and CEO of an Air Charter company. He has MA, MSc, MBA, and MPhil degrees and is a former Senior Research Scholar from IDSA. He has published a book titled Space Age Gladiators: Surface to Surface Missiles & Air Strategy. He has also authored a monograph titled Pertinence of Pakistani Ballistic Missiles in the Indo-Pak Conflict (IDSA Delhi Papers No 14), December 2000. His article Engine Leasing won the 2020 Aerospace Media Awards ASIA at Singapore. He has numerous articles in professional military and aviation journals.
